IKB Accomplishments and Experience

Business 
IKB Arts Studio started in 2013 and was located at 123 N. Vine St. Suite 101, Euless Texas 76040. The Arts studio was established by IKB (Samoan heritage) and wife Sekilini Makahununiu (Tongan heritage), where IKB sculpted and crafted Polynesian Bone-art and Mrs. Maka managed the office.

Experience: Expertise - Media and Fine Arts
Tui Tablet Blog Column - A community social media project to help growing Polynesian and Asia Pacific community move interests online as well as to showcase talents in the Asia Pacific-Pacific Islander Arts. The project began in late 2009 as a simple site helping cover new music talents and Youtube Vloggers. Tui Tablet featured a Euless community photo album, Free Graphic Buttons for community, coverage on local Euless Sports, and Euless Polynesian social events. The project was fused into The Manaia Blog-writer project in 2012.

  • -Created Logos, Banners, supporting websites, and other promotional content
  • -Oversaw designs for cultural and historical accuracy 

The Manaia Blog-writer - In August of 2012 the Tui Tablet Blog Column had reached it's original goals and was then moved into a new site as The Manaia Blog-writer which has a greater range of interests including APPI Political News, Entertainment, and Sports News, with a TMBW wiki project in planning for Asia Pacific-Pacific Islander community.

  • -Engaged with visitors, social groups, emails, and monitored traffic patterns

Siapo Online Memos - Siapo Online Memos started with an overflow of interests from Tui Tablet Blog Column and was a support site for the Manaia Project in 2013. The Blog-site covered a range of news and community interests.

Free Moana Buttons - A side-project created to help growing social media projects [Tui Tablet Blog Column, The Manaia Blog-writer]. The free fun-made graphics are public domain. The project is expected to grow into a larger graphics art project covering Polynesian Mythology using new developments in AI Illustrators.

Managed Social and Discussion groups
-Mana Improvement was a social group that led to the making of a Mana Improvement online campaign promoting health and preservation in the APPI community, using graphic arts, created in new online editors recommended by Talofa e-stuff for Artists group. 

-The Polynesian Sculpture Challenge was created in 2009 to stimulate APPI-American Arts through arts competition while helping Polynesian creative interests move to developing online platforms. 

-Mana History was a Polynesian History Studies group which began as Mana History S.O.H.S. Polynesian History and Malayo Polynesian Pre-history Studies and then was migrated by Facebook. Mana History was opened when Polynesian History studies expanded into Polynesia's Pre-History (Anthropology, Archaeology, Ethnography, Linguistic interests). Largest member count was 2290.

-Talofa e-stuff for Artists - Discussion group on popular collaborative Open-source software projects that started in 2006-2007. Talofa e-stuff for artists also helped review new online based Photo-editors, developing apps, and any new tech for the Digital Arts.

-Iron Samoan Women - A group allowing community to engage itself in discussion over the power of women in APPI American sports and entertainment, while also helping to identify and gather updates on celebrities and athletes. 

-Samoans Siva Tau against cigarettes - A supporting group for the Asia Pacific health and fitness community, also a discussion group on growing interests in Vaping tech and other popular alternatives trending in East and Souteast Asia. 

-Tongan Americans in Sports - Tongan and Samoan American youth in sports has been spotted by mainstream media, with high schools like Trinity Trojans of Euless Texas being featured performing their team Haka (Sipi Tau, Siva Tau, Haka), and a group focused fully on Tongan-American contribution was made to support and help identify players and family history. 

-Bloggers Samoa - A group made to help bridge interests for Samoan-American writers in social media with discussion on popular Samoan Vloggers and gaming Twitch streamers. This group and others helped in finding and reviewing content for TMBW. 

-Bloggers Tonga - A group made to help bridge interests for Tongan-American writers in social media with discussion on popular Tongan Vloggers and gaming Twitch streamers. This group and others helped in finding and reviewing content for TMBW. 

-Bloggers Maori - A group made to help bridge interests for Maori-American writers in social media with discussion on popular Maori Vloggers and gaming Twitch streamers. This group and others helped in finding and reviewing content for TMBW.

-APPI Wolf Community - Research group on the Polynesian Expansions & of the Southeast Asian Wolf [Polynesian Wolf]. Discussions ranged from the American Dingo breed to the Australian Southeast Asian wolf breed, timelines on arrivals, and other regions reached by the breed and their native caretakers. 

-Samoans in Architecture - A discussion group hoping to push further into Polynesian Fine Arts and Architecture. The group searches for Samoans interested or already involved in Architecture studies.

Online Community Movements
Mana Improvement - An online campaign that led to the creation of graphic work for community  improvement helping out local community clean neighborhood efforts, supporting recycling and green living, and respect for our environment for future generations. 

Supporter of the TokoUso Unity Movement and taking the message of Polynesian Samoan-Tongan brotherhood online in 2009 by creating graphic work and networking through social media sites. The TokoUso movement started in the 1990s from the DFW Texas to Utah state and was widely known among the Polynesian communities in those areas. 




Sculpture - Stone and Rock piles
Gaze-amazed at sculpture works produced in Pale Brown Plaster, Clays, and rocky Cements. Click through relief work, busts, full figurative human bodies to more contemporary off natural styles at IKB Arts Studio. Latest glimpses of sculptural works will be posted at a later date [stay tuned]
